Name: Bill Carter
Years working at the Fair: Off and on for six years or three years when not with Uncle Sam. (U.S. Air Force Reserve)
Job: Operations Manager ( The wearer of many different hats, this includes toilet cleaner to chicken warden)
Most commonly asked question: When's the fair and can you get me tickets?
|
Your Story: Well, after working for a large corporation for over ten years and being laid off after a merger I answered an ad in the newspaper and was hired. The rest as they say is history. But I will add this, its the type job that you either love or you hate, and I can say I do love the fair.
Your favorite thing about working at the fair: The SMILES!, when you a small child see a baby pig for the first time and their face lights up when they see that little pig. Or the expression on their faces when they see all lights from the rides lit and flashing. That makes everything we do worth it to me.
