To All Mobile Big Game Fishing Club Tournament Participants
The board of directors of the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club is excited about the kick off of the big game fishing tournament season in the northern gulf. We are please to extend an invitation to join us for the 32nd annual Memorial Day fishing tournament, May 23-26 at the MBGFC located at the Orange Beach Marina on Marina Road, Orange Beach, Alabama.

Preregistration is strongly encouraged. All pre-registered anglers are guaranteed a tournament ditty bag, favors, meals, soft drinks, and beer. A pre-registered crew needs only to pick up the ditty bag and attend the captains' meeting Friday evening. If, for any reason, any pre-registered angler/crew is unable to participate in the event, tournament entry fees and cash award entries will be refunded within 14 days of the event. Pre-registration is a win-win for the angler and the club. It saves you from standing in a a long line, assures you a ditty bag, and helps the club plan ample food and spirits. A great kick off party is planned, with live music and the famous Rod Berglan catering. We will again have the policy of a meal ticket and wristband for each registered angler and crew member. This policy protects the paid patrons. Extra wristbands and meal tickets will be available at the retail sales counter.
This year there have been some major changes in rules per the HMS. Circle hooks are mandatory for all meat baits and artificial baits that use meat baits. Click here for the rules as stated by the HMS. Also, remember to have your current HMS permits for harvesting the species that they require.
Mandatory captains' meeting and sign out is required. No Exceptions! Boats can leave when captains sign out after the meeting. Boats have to be under the Alabama Point bridge by 8 pm, Sunday, May 25th. There will be a video drop off at a separate dock for those who do on have a fish to weigh. This dock location will be announced at the captains' meeting.
